Mª Victoria Jericó, violin

Mª Victoria is an active spanish violinist with a special interest in chamber music that she combines with orchestral collaborations and violin recitals.

She is a former member of Duo Stellae, a promising duo recently awarded with the “Byram Jeejeebhoy Prize for violin & piano”. The duo has brought them to play in England, Scotland and Spain. They were invited to take part in the Chamber Music Bonanza, during the Royal String Quartet Festival in London and at the Music Festival PAM'14 in Spain.

My recent interest in chamber music, lead me to form the Agora Piano Trio, awarded with in Stratford Music Festival in 2014. As part of the trio, she had masterclases with Christopher Richter and Richard Ireland duringChamber Studio Day ’14 hold in Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

She shares her chamber music pasion with an enthusiasm in orchestral music, that has lead her to collaborate with some orchestras both in Spain and England. She has worked with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra as an academist and is a former member of Sigfried Camerata. She has also work with Trinity Laban String Ensemble and Youth Spanish Orquestras from Cantabria, País Vasco and Cataluña. She had the opportunity to play “Sleepy Beauty” together with Royal Ballet, conducted by Valery Ovsyamikov in Teatro del Liceo, in Barcelona.

She obtained a Masters Degree in violín at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in the class of Andrew Sherwood, generously supported by TLC Scholar.
